It works to some extent, but I cannot get any special characters (i.e. Control key) to pass properly. I need to send a Control+V paste command to an app when the user initiates by pressing a different hothey. The function does calculation on a value then (supposed to) paste the result directly to the external app. Instead of pasting the result I get "^v".
