If you saw a cow this morning... it was probably pointing north

A researcher used GoogleEarth to study cows grazing and found that they are most likely to be aligned to magnetic north-south when doing so. The same behavior was also seen in deer.

What I found interesting was the way in which GoogleEarth was used in this study.
